Midget - Home

Midget Eligibility:
If you are a graduating Bantam player currently registered in Grade 9 or currently in Grade 10 or 11, and you are no older than 18 before Dec. 31 of the current football season (i.e. your 19th birthday is not until on or after January 1 of 2010), then you are eligible to play Midget ball in 2010. In addition, please note that your grade is determined based on which year of high school you are attending, and not the courses you are taking; in other words, if you are currently in your third year of high school, you are considered to be in Grade 12, even if all your courses are Grade 11 courses.

SAMFA Eligibility:
If you live within the City of St. Albert or are located in the area that is within our boundaries (Edmonton / St. Albert Border to the South, Highway 28 to the East and within Sturgeon County to the West) then you are eligible to play for the St. Albert Minor Football Association.

Program:
Midget rosters will be limited to a league-mandated maximum and there are limits to the maximum number of grade 11’s and minimum number of required grade 10’s & 9’s for each team.  Spring football is a very compressed and very competitive season. The 2010 Storm staff has been selected from both the High School and SAMFA Bantam coaching ranks. Dry land training and evaluations will start in mid February at the Edmonton Garrison with outdoor practices starting sometime in mid March. The season starts the beginning of April and ends before the May long weekend.
