Referees Wanted

The CDMFA requires that all Associations provide referees for the Atom games. If you know of a High School, Bantam or Peewee player (last year of Peewee) who is interested in refereeing football please contact our Director of Referees. This is also opend to any adult interested in being a ref.

Level 1 Referee Clinics will be held  on August 6 & 7 and SAMFA will subisidize the cost of the clinics. Contact Doug for further details.



SAMFA Update

The teams have been selected and you will be contacted by your head coach if you haven't already in regards to practise starting dates, times and locations. The season will start August 15th and the 2009 league schedule should be posted on the CDMFA web site at the end of July. There are links to the schedule & the CDMFA home page on the SAMFA web site.

Eskimo Practise in St. Albert

Football fans are invited to come out and watch the Eskimos practice on St. Albert's newest field. An autograph session, an appearance by the club's cheer team and a concession service will surely make for a fun day at the park!

Storm Tier III Midget Champs

Congratulations go out to the Storm’s players and staff as this year’s (2009) Tier III Midget Champions with their 27 – 7 victory over the Sherwood Park Wolverines.

Taping Clinic

 For those interested in volunteering for first aid this season and are prepared to be part of a SAMFA team staff, The Sports Medicine Council of Alberta is offering courses in:
 Athletic First Aid
Taping and Strapping 
Sport Trainer 
If you would like to register please contact our Director of First Aid,
Stacy Andresen 

 SAMFA is looking at remibursing volunteers who take the course , in which case a reciept will be required.
